Dear Church Family,

Words cannot begin to express my gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, care, and support you have shown me during these past weeks. My unexpected 30-day stay in rehab was so much easier because of your prayers, cards, flowers, visits, special treats, and the wonderful company that lifted my spirits each day.

When I returned home for another month of recovery, you continued to surround me with compassion - providing delicious meals, overnight help, clean laundry, rides to appointments (and even to the hairdresser!), playing cards, laughter, and steady encouragement. You truly kept both my home and heart in order.

Your kindness reminded me of what it means to be part of a loving church family - the hands and feet of Christ in action. I am deeply touched and forever grateful for each of you.

Thanksgiving Service

Please join Pastor Gay for the Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, November 18th at 7 pm at Downriver UMC in Taylor with Rev Jonathan Combs. Please bring a dessert to share during the event.

The November mission of the month is Thanksgiving boxes. Please join us in supporting this wonderful family mission.

December Events

Advent Tea 2025

Please join us on Wednesday, December 3rd, at 6:30 pm at Faith United Methodist Church, 2530 Charlton, Trenton, for our annual outreach Advent event is quickly approaching. The Guest Speaker is RACHEL O’Neill, founder of “Little Dresses for Africa.” Please sign up to host a table of 6 or 8 friends. We look forward to having a full house for this dynamic speaker and the organization she founded. You only need to prepare a dessert for the ladies at your table. We will have white tablecloths on all the tables and provide coffee and tea. Looking forward to spending an evening together with songs, dessert, and a dynamic speaker. This is a perfect way to begin our Advent season. Hope you can join us.

Advent Bible Study

Please join Pastor Gay for the Advent Bible Study Class "Because of Bethlehem," which begins on Sunday, November 30th, at 11:30 am, or on Wednesday, December 3rd, at 2:30 pm. Please sign up to attend and read chapter one for our first class.

Family Christmas Ornament Night 2025

Our Next Family Christmas Ornament Night is on Friday, December 12th, 2025, from 6:30 -8:30 pm. The cost is $5 per family. Each child will make and take five ornaments, and refreshments will be served. Registration is required by December 6th, so call Laura Trosien at 408 406-8680 or email her ltrosien55@gmail.com if you are interested in the fun family event.

UMW Ladies Luncheon

Please purchase a luncheon ticket in the lobby if you would like to attend the UMW Ladies Luncheon on December 15 at noon at Sibley Garden.

Messy Church (Updated Time) Please join us for our December Messy Church on December 16th, the theme is “The Messy Manger”, at our new time, 5:30-7:30 pm. We are looking forward to seeing everyone for some holiday family fun.
