Congregational Care Ministry

Our congregation is an intergal part of Faith UMC, the health and care of our church is of the utmost importance.  Through the caring attention and mindfulness of our Pastor Wayne Price and his Congregational Care Ministry, we hope to provide uplifting spiritual support consisting of prayer, face-to-face visits or Zoom, devotions to lift your spirits and strengthen your hearts and minds, and so much more.

Should you be in need of our Congregational Care team or know someone who does, please feel free to contact the church and Pastor Wayne.

Additionally, we have a vast selection of Devotionals to provide you with immediate support and comfort.

  • Daily Devotionals - Pastor Wayne Price - Through the Faith UMC email program you can receive a Daily Devotional, this is a thought provoking and uplifting message.  The perfect start to your day!  Contact the church office to be put on the email list for this daily blessing.

  • Card Making Ministry  Laura Trosiene

Our Card Ministry expresses the caring heart of our church family and provides messages of hope and encouragement through sending homemade cards to members of our church and community.

Cards continue to be sent during this pandemic. Although we cannot get together as a group right now to make cards, individuals are still making them so we can continue this ministry. Our group makes cards for shut-ins, people in the hospital, people who are ill, etc.

If you know of someone who would enjoy receiving a card from our card group (does not need to be a church member, please contact Laura via email at or call her at 734-671-0282. Please supply the persons’ address and what type of card needed (no holiday or birthday cards.)

  • Prayer Chain - Karin HiskeFaith UMC's Church Secretary will take prayer requests and updates on members of our Faith congregation and through the many faith-filled Prayer Team members they will lift up the needs of loved ones and give praise and thanks for all God's blessings.  Contact Karin at 734-671-5211 (Monday - Thursday 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.)

  • Caring for the Caregiver:   Rev. Grace Ann Beebe and Renee' Mackay  -   If you are caring for a family member, friend, etc., this is a place to come to discuss what is on your mind and get support from others in your situation.  Currently, The Caregiver group have not been meeting in person, due to Covid.  Grace Ann Beebe & Renee' Mackay are continuing to stay in touch with many of the regular members, encouraging them to stay in touch with one another. It is the hope to possibly start back in person in Compton Hall in September, but we're still waiting to see how things play out.   Please contact the church with any questions.  Please know we will respectfully have protection policies in place at this time.

  • Women's Relationship Book Study - BJ Williams

Our book study is a  Book/Bible Study. We will explore books with the theme of women dealing with life's stresses, with a focus of how the Bible supports us through these challenges. Specifically, at this time we have selected the book, Leading A Life of Balance by Marilyn Meberg.

If you would like a copy of the book, please send an email to BJ Williams at or text her at 734- 365-1431. The cost of the book is $10.

You may want to look up the Bible passages before we meet for the upcoming chapter, but it isn't necessary. Please bring your Bible and book with you.

We are currently not meeting face-to-face, but will attempt to meet again in the Fall on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 P.M. in the parlor, with safe meeting practices in place.
