Dr. Douglas E. Ralston

Faith United Methodist Church’s pastor is Rev. Dr. Douglas E. Ralston.  He is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church.  Doug came to Faith Church in July 2016. His home church is Monroe First United Methodist. Following high school, Pastor Doug attended North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Doug received his Master of Divinity degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio followed by a Doctor of Ministry degree from Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit.

During his educational years, he was named to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, received the Methodist Theological School Biblical Scholar Award, and was named Ecumenical Theological Seminary's Distinguished Alumni of 2008. He serves as an editorial consultant for Homiletics Magazine.

Doug and Sharon Lee Hoyt were wed in 2007. Sharon is the Bereavement Coordinator at Promedica Hospice in Monroe.  In 2012, she was designated the Bereavement Coordinator of the Year for the State of Michigan.  They have two daughters, three granddaughters, and a grandson.

Pastor Doug previously served at Dearborn Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, St. Clair Shores Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, LaSalle Zion United Methodist Church, Lambertville United Methodist Church, and was on staff at Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Detroit.
